Anyone tried supplements?
I take cod liver oil as well, its great and I read it is definately needed for T which is why all the old school body builders swear by liver extract or Vitamin A. I read vit A and D compete for the same receptors so its always best that they are in balance and not too high in either of them.
Eucommia makes me a lot more confident. If I have joint pains or back pain going on usually it alleviates it. Sometimes more energy, too. Depends. It can increase my appetite, too. Supposedly it has phytoandrogens and some phytoestrogens in it, too. In TCM, it's considered both equal yin and yang and warming, increases kidney jing. I buy 20 teabags for $1.89 at my Chinese market. They sell the whole bark for like $5 for either 12 or 16oz. Teabag is easier to work with but more expensive.
Regarding old school bodybuilders, one thing I heard in the "old school" is people swore by wheat bran, and also dessicated liver powder. Liver powder is surprisingly cheap, per pound it's like the same price as whey protein, and it's not industrial waste like whey is.
One other thing I've heard of, is a plant called Rhaponticum Carthamoides, or maral root, which is another plant containing phytoandrogens. Supposedly, there was a mix of it used by Russian athletes along with Siberian Ginseng and Rhodiola Rosea, with it reportedly being as effective or more effective than Dianabol. I'm interested in trying it, especially mixed like that.
One problem I have is I drink too much coffee, and supposedly coffee's issue is it has too much cadmium in it. So I should try to maybe drink more tea or some other source of caffeine. Either that or I've totally trashed my adrenals over the years. I'm a bad driver unless I have stimulants of some kind in me, so for my and others safety, yeah... Oddly, Ritalin despite being a crazy awesome stimulant, actually made me a worse driver. I have NVLD, and it like, shut off my verbal thought processes, or curtailed them. Which in theory sounds nice, but in practice just makes me dumb, as the background running visual spatial thought processes are running like crap due to my IQ split.
I have tried a "mood-stabilizing" tea featuring largely St. John's Wart for depression; the effects were negligible at best (though this may be due to the fact that my depression likely has more of a psychological basis than chemical). Raw peppermint tea, however, seems to have an overall positive effect on my mood.

At the moment I've been trialling Polygonum, wqhich is also Kidney Jing strengthening. Not sure on the effects on mood yet. I'll have to trial it some more. But aparently it increases dopamine. Not sure if thats good or bad in my case.

I've tried tribulus but that made feel worse for some reason.
Whats NVLD? I notice some things make me more forgetful or more unable to speak properly like GABA, valium, phenibut and some herbs. I wonder if its because they lower dopamine. Perhaps I need to increase dopamine.
