Understanding your life once and for all

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say here. Are you saying that we should just have good self-esteem?
Yes.
I was just trying to argue why,
- good self-esteem is necessary for a happy life.
- it may be more difficult for autistic individuals to have good self-esteem.
- you gain more self-esteem if you choose to make your own life your first priority.
I guess the contents of this thread might be trivial to you guys. I'd just share what works for me.

Hmm you are sure deadest on this natural selection and autism thing aren't you?
I was not until recently, but now I am. Nothing in this world seems to contradict it? Life is just meant to promote life.
Yes, that is true we are not as truly free as we think, we still have are base instincts fighting for time in our thought patterns. We can move away from this with practice and hope successive generations will hold onto the value of personal growth and knowledge instead. Society evolves and we will evolve with it. Those primitive instincts helped us get to where we are and survive but now in modern times we have the means to overcome.

Just look at the dinosaurs, they died out because they didn't have a space program.

I am just not sure where you are heading with this personal growth and knowledge? Is that not just another need we need to fulfill in order to be happy? Is happiness not the ultimate goal of our existence?
I sense you kind of distance yourself from these animalistic needs. Correct me if I am wrong! I have that same urge. I have a difficult time to accept just being part of society as everyone else is. Just another simple peace in the puzzle. But in the end everything tells me that is what I should do to in order be happy. It's very conflicting.

Happiness is what I would assume people want. I think your living life the way you think you should live (normal people style) and not the way you want to live. When you start living the way you want to live you should find happiness and once you find that you should see other doors opening up.

I personally dislike Darwin's book about evolution. It seems like it was influenced heavily by some sort of economic philosophy of competitive market processes as described by Adams. In any event, Darwin was critical of his own ideas in his own book because his theories were incomplete.
I believe that the ultimate guiding principle in the meaning of life exists in love. We exist to learn to love other humans and creatures. This love of others guides the creative changes in us. This philosophy was explicitly stated by Charles Peirce.
The meaning of life or any action is in the predictable affective response (Mead).
