Thesame.

People ofthen think I am a first year college student when I tell them I am in college, and I nearly always get asked for id. Shopkeepers often comment that they thought I was much younger...

I look older than my age. I'm 16 (17 as of the 16th) but a dude today thought I was 20.

Younger, definitely. I was at a show a few nights ago (one you get very dressed up for, if you have the nerve). Well, I've been to the same show a few times and have the nerve to get very dressed up. I was waiting in the queue at the toilet and this woman said, whilst looking directly at me, 'I'd love to get dressed up like that, but I'm 40, so too old for that now'. I'm 40.

I had the opposite problem. When I was 13 or 14 I had to carry my birth certificate in my wallet to prove to movie theatre cashiers that I wasn't old enough to charge the full adult rate to.

I asked my colleague, and his first response was, you're like a 5 year old running around here. (I take it that was sarcasm) then I persisted and he said that if I shave, I look like a youngish 20 year old something. If I shave people tend to say I look very young. Probably to do with the lack of facial expressions.

Most people say I look a bit younger, but not that much, just a bit.

Younger. I don't get carded as often anymore, but people usually think I'm in my twenties. Part of that might be dressing like a schlumpy teenager though. :)

Am I really the only one who looks older?

You're 16. At 16, so long as I was dressed as an adult and had mature hair and make-up, I was able to get into an over 21s nightclub, without being asked for ID. A few years later, when I was actually 21, I still looked the same age and I've aged slowly since then.

Younger. Judging by some peoples' reactions a lot younger, probably at least 10 years younger.

I am 22 and look my age, most recent guesses I got were between 22-20.

However, during my early to mid-teens (13-17) people used to perceive me as older, mainly because of my height.. I had a growth spurt in that period and was 6'2'' at age 15, but stopped growing around age 17 (stabilized at 6'3'').

Younger. I'm 29; the last person who speculated about my age said that I looked 20 or 21.
