Almost always alone now, as i am unable to find employment, with no friends, and family too far away. Old job brought me to a new area, then they folded leaving me in a situation i can't get out of.

That's rough, best of luck to you friend.

Thanks

Yes.

But my close ones have learned to accept my self imposed loneliness. Note that this loneliness from other people is a choice, i still want a relationship with a girl, but that is different.

I actually like being alone. I used to live with my parents for many years and when i got the opportunity i jumped out quickly. I communicate with my friends through facebook and i lay in bed all day watching series on DVD, playing games or browsing the net. I haven't gone out with friends (social drinking) for years, i miss hanging with my friends out on some place, but i have never liked being in a bar with 500 other people, it is not only stressful - i find that social interaction boring. Besides, bars are not exactly full of mensa candidates, and being hit on by a woman who wants to know what star-sign i am isn't something i miss.

Being asocial is a problem that can drive some people nuts, for others solitude is a long sought after privilege.
