I will be working and as I am married I will not be alone but we do not celebrate anything. We were even alone the last couple of Christmases too - not by choice.

Yeah, I spend it alone. My family are practically all atheists, and don't make a big deal out of it (though they do observe Christmas). we used to celebrate it when I and the other grandchildren were kids, but that was pretty much limited to painting eggs and hiding them.

This is an easy one. I'll be alone, just like on Christmas Day or New Year's Day or Columbus Day or Valentine's Day or July the 4th or Thanksgiving or Halloween or Labor Day.

No friends, no family and don't really feel like socialising at the moment anyway.

I'd rather do something interesting.

And yes, when is easter anyway?

I would if I could, but I can't so I won't.

I don't dislike the family dinner thing at all. It's just that the weather is very nice this weekend and I wish I could just hang out with the sun and relax. Instead, I worked last night, then contacted an old boss and picked up some work for this afternoon, then I work a different job on Saturdays, back to my regular gig Sunday aft/eve, and then home to meet up for a late Easter dinner with some of the extended family.

It'll be fine, but if I had the option I wouldn't do anything but hang out in the sun all weekend. Ah well, maybe I'll do that Sunday morning before work.

You previously mentioned local Aspie Social groups, might any of them have events?

Yes. No friends around here and family is too far away for me to afford to travel.

Yesterday, Easter, my gf and i went to the beach (no big thing it 15 mins down the road) and we collected shells that washed up.
It's been cold this year yet some people were in the water.

If i had my own children i would have brought them.
We used to have family gatherings when i was young on holidays. Not much family left anymore...

Pretty much its just another day to me. If i had young children i would do something special for them though

I slept in, went to work expecting it to be slow but it was super busy, then went home to catch the tail end of Easter dinner, had a few convos with family/friends and then everyone peaced out to go home and sleep off their meals - perfect! I didn't have to spend very much time socializing & never felt tired of it, or like escaping outside for a toke.

But I'd have rather had the day off to just hang out with the sun, especially since we were supposed to break some temperature records in the afternoon. It was a niiiiice day & I had to spend most of it inside. That was the suckiest part of it. Ah well, plenty of leftovers and chocolates and candies around to be picked over. :D
