Normally I don't sleep with stuffed animals but my cats sleep with me and my dog did at one time. However, when I'm away at college I sleep with 3 stuffed animals because I miss having the cats on my bed.

Yes ragamuffins are reject ragdoll cats. You should read about ragdolls, some people claim they are alien. Well my old gal is a weird cat I'll say that much. Anyway ragdolls have to be a certain color and if they are the "wrong" color such as my kitty being a dilute calico then they are called ragamuffins. Neatest cat I have ever had.

I have never done this before, when I was little: I was in my own world, so I didn't do things that other kids did, but when I snapped out of it: I started doing things that three y/os would do, and my family would tell me to stop acting like a baby.

Okay maybe we should ask what is your age if you sleep with a stuffed animal? I'm really curious now. If I could find a non-germy stuffed toy I might consider it. Okay they make anti-microbial plastics so why can't they make antimicrobial stuffed animals.

Oh I do have these fish pillows but I rarely sleep with them. There's not enough room in the bed for extra stuff because the cat hogs 3/4 of my bed. If I get up during the night to go to bathroom when I get back she will stretch herself so there is no place for me to lay down. I guess you know who rules this roost!

I used to suck my thumb, but my parents helped me stop because it had gotten visibly smaller.

I have had a 'rug' since I was born, it's been torn to bits, but I've still got a little bit left... I like holding it because it feels 'sweet' in my hands... any reason behind this?

i just love to cuddle up to them and they can keep me all snuggky and warm and they feel nice to kiss and cuddle when im in bed

I sleep with my Timon (from the Lion King) that my brother got for me about 10 years ago when he was in the Navy. I also fill my bed to capacity with HUGE stuffed animals and barely have enough room for me. As a kid I was obsessed with them and my mom could never get me to throw them out. I still have plushies from when I was about 4 years old sitting in a rubber maid tote in the garage.

I gave up the idea when I saw how stuffed animals are not packaged or wrapped up in stores so germy little snotty kids play with them in stores or they fall on the floor and get dirty. That disgusts me to be touching other people's germs. I know I'm weird.

Some stuffed animals are even made to look dirty.. Yuck!

I would probably sleep with a stuffed animal or cuddle a pillow or something if I was single. But instead I sleep with my husband and daughter (we have a family bed). And really, I think that's ultimately what the stuffed toys are: a replacement for people. We (human beings) are generally wired for sleeping with other people, not alone. It's only in Western industrialized societies that so many people have ever slept alone. It's a pretty dramatic departure from the historical norm. As babies, instead of sleeping with our parents and brothers and sisters, we're put in a room alone and given stuffed animals instead; it's no wonder we develop such attachments to these objects.
