My mankie (flannel crib blanket), I took it everywhere and held it up to my cheek with one hand while sucking my thumb on the other hand. I loved the way it felt on my cheek and between my fingers. I sympathise. I was lucky enough to love satin coated cloth labels, so nobody could take them away from me. I still have a phone sock full of them which I carry around.
As for other things, I carry:
-Small Digital Camera
-Phone
-Two wallets
-Lighter (Even though I don't smoke. It''s just useful to carry around)
- A small pen knife.
and for longer journeys, I take my Kindle and glasses
