What would these results mean? Been told here I must be a "half pint".

At school I got bullied by teachers for my traits and eventually got expelled.

I was a good nerdy kid that always scored the highest in exams, just struggled with punctuality, could not do homework (but completed it quickly in class when not prevented doing so), and had very poor co-ordination so I sucked at sports and could not write joined up.

These things got me all kinds of abuse, and thrown out. When there were many kids who had sold drugs or committed violent acts, sometimes with weapons. But had been given a pass.

Everytime teachers had to "talk" to me, I could see them getting wound up and angry. But I never had a clue why, I was always polite and quiet.

I got mugged at a bus stop when I was a teenager. Naturally, I was incredibly shaken when I got on the bus, so I ended up getting off at the wrong stop. I was trying to get to my friend's work (he is/was my safe person.) The bus stop I got off at was over a mile from where I needed to be, it was about 9pm and raining very hard.

I had my headphones on and was walking very quickly with my head down and hood on, so I didn't here the police officer yelling and chasing after me. He grabbed me by the arm and spun me around, shone his flashlight in my face and pulled my headphones off. I immediately started crying, as not only was he behaving in a very alarming manner, but I had just been mugged. He questioned me on where I was going, why I was out so late, if my mother knew where I was (I didn't live with her, so of course she didn't,) to which I could hardly answer any of these questions.

He made me stand out in the rain for 20 minutes and threatened to take me to the station, saying that he was searching for a runaway and that I matched the description. It took me 20 minutes to explain my circumstances and that I was indeed not the runaway he was looking for.

Once I finally convinced him, he just walked off and left me completely in shock from the whole situation. I guess if I wasn't autistic, that situation would have been very different.

Persecuted, yes... prosecuted, no. Big difference between those 2 similarly spelled words.

I felt this way as a kid. Kids could easily get me into trouble, get me to do things by egging me, I could be easily pressured, kids took advantage of me, I was treated different, even by school staff, I felt I was not allowed to be normal and be like everyone else. I felt I had different rules from everyone and rules didn't apply to them but did for me. I was also bullied. I was very frustrated and at home I would feel normal where I was treated as such. I also felt in my teens I was being punished for having anxiety because my parents would get mad at me about it. I often don't feel that way as an adult. I still feel vulnerable but lot of people don't know me and I don't want them to know me. I feel once they do, they will know they can take advantage of me if they know my weak spots and try and mess with me. I also try and not be too open about myself.

i feel the same way, dont want to get to know people so they won't take advantage, because they always seem to find the soft spot, the vulnerability. and my father used to make fun of my anxiety that i suffered even since very early childhood, and he'd say things to worry me more. and i felt i was being punished because people would get angry, bully, or get mad whenever i showed autistic traits, my parents got mad, kids in school, a teacher got angry because of my horrible handwritting. i didnt understand how to 'write nicely'. no one explain it to me. and mostly peope would say i'm selfish and narcassistic for not needing company, and for prefering the company of animals.

Man, these cases are ridiculous. Where were the parents in all this. Someone was watching the boy in the pool but they just let the police violate him which is what they did. This is just disgusting police brutality. These people will probably be scarred for life. These cops should lose everything especially their jobs. These things happen far too often. The police use their authority to do whatever they want. Makes me sick.

The injustice of all this just makes me wanna picket at every police station and demand that they cease this crusade to control society. It is a problem when we live in a society of "police state terrorism". No more police. no more prisons.

I guess maybe I am being a little unfair but I have just had enough of reading these kinds of things. I honestly think that some of these police have a different agenda. How can they be this ignorant. I do not buy it. Isn't there some kind of autistic rights activist groups that can put a stop to this insanity. I just about had enough of society not learning the facts. Its irresponsible. It is time we demand equal rights and understanding. I am afraid of the police and every time I see one I cringe at the thought. "oh my god what if they pull me over"

I have gotten harassed by the police luckily I did not try to fight with them knowing they could jump all over me if I started freaking out. But others are helpless and can do nothing and honestly do not know any better. They are innocent and the police feel there is a threat which is ludicrous.

The police cannot hold you for being drunk if you are not. Come on don't they have tests for this that could clear it up in five minutes. The incompetence is unreal.

I cannot imagine why an autistic person is a threat. I suppose it is because of that young man in CT who killed those kindergartners (Sandy Hook). They said he had AS but that had nothing to do with those murders. He was obviously twisted in the brain and brainwashed by his mother and they had all those guns. It is sad when they try to use Aspergers as the "twinkie" defense. Basically it is improbable defense or explanation as to why he killed them.

Sorry I guess I am ranting a little.

I have dealt with the police only once. I was looking in second hand shops and someone thought I took a movie so he called the police. They came and found me and arrested me for "shoplifting" and they handcuffed me and took me to the station. It was very humiliating because it happened in a small town and I knew if someone who knew me saw the whole thing, they would gossip about it and then those people will tell other people about it. They did call my parents and they came and got me an brought me home. There was no bail or other charges and I wasn't locked int he cell. But I did start to doubt myself thinking what if I really did take a video tape and didn't remember. That's how vulnerable I was and my parents were furious about all this and they had to pay to get the vehicle out of the yard they had impounded. My dad ordered them to search the car so they did and everything was dropped. Good thing I didn't buy a movie somewhere else or they would have thought it was the tape I took.

I don't know what I did that made the store owner think I took something. I don't know if it was autism related or not. He also wouldn't show my mother the video and it was to limit liability so he refused to show her it.

The whole ting was scary because I didn't know what was going to happen and how it was going to effect me in school and I thought I may have to switch schools or drop out if the word followed me to another town. I stayed hidden at home all weekend long and Mom had to make me go to school on Monday. Yes I was teased about it for about two weeks, but I was also given support too about it so things turned out good. Then everyone moved on.

I spent 6 hours being "detained" in a locked holding room for "suspicious behavoir" after a traffic stop. I had to pay a cash bond to be released even though I never was arrested. I have had trouble with the police during every traffic stop. My car (and my person) were searched, and one officer threatened to use his taser if I didn't stand still during the body search (this was the time I was forced to strip to my underwear on the side of the road with drivers slowing down as they passed to get a good look).

Saying you have beend diagnosed as an apie seemed to make things much worse the one time I mentioned it.

^ Just politely refuse to consent to searches. You can't be searched without your consent, and if the police try anyway, then anything they find won't be able to be used in court, so they'll often give up if you just refuse. If they do continue to search, don't resist, but announce loudly, once, "I don't consent to searches".

Unfortunately, in some states and some police districts, it is legal to search individuals who exhibit "suspicious behavior" thanks to some regulations passed during the height of terrorism fears after 9/11. It is a judgment call by the officer in charge. You can also legally be detained for up to 48 hours (or longer depending on state/local regulations). If you are detained instead of arrested, you are not read your miranda rights, you do not have the right to an attorny, and you are not entitled to a phone call.

The police are also legally allowed to search your private property and person if they suspect drug use or drug activity. This is also based on the officer in charge's opinion. Thank the war on drugs for that one. So many reactionary laws have had an unintended negative impact on people's basic rights.
