I have to know the details of the right planet first before deciding. What is the climate like? What kind of food is available? Is there a job for me or do they provide everything I need and I don't have to work? Are there good shopping centers near where I live? Can I live near a train station? Is the planet music-free? Can I take my parents and sisters with me? What kinds of people are there? Is there any danger there? There are so many questions that I need to ask. But I would definitely consider it.

Of course you can, it's a free world same as the Wrong Planet. But they'll be alienated for being a bit "off" - weird things like being polite rather than honest, enjoying smalltalk, playing mindgames such as social politics, hierarchies, etc.

What if we're too acculturated to this planet, like people adopted from other countries going back to their original location?

What makes everyone so convinced that this wasn't our rightful planet to begin with and that we werent invaded?

Maybe a sort of reverse-Rapture is in order here

Except for dealing with other people. I love my home planet earth. Earth is the right planet for me. I like nature, technology and all thing/places that make earth everything it is. The only thing I would ask for in the "right planet" is that it be just like planet earth except all the people are aspie's like me and we all got along with each other in the same way like other NT's do( I am not gonna ask for a so called "perfect world") . For example. I would like to be able go to a dance club like place and have a stimming party with other people and feel proud and joyful about who we are instead of felling embarrassed and ashamed about it and have to hide it because NT's don't get it.

Well, since I obviously don't fit in anywhere on this planet, I'd sure be willing to give it a try.

I'd certainly give it serious consideration. It would have to be earth-like so habitable of course, and not full of dangerous forms of life. It's difficult because my resistance to change might make me too fearful to make the move. I'd probably rather find the right place on this planet, that was unsullied by NT ways. Too many Aspies in one place could be as problematic in other ways, lots of opinionated people, everyone too stubborn to back down, everyone overreacting, poor communication...then you'd have the hyposensitive Aspies annoying the hypersensitive Aspies with too much noise. I'm depressed that our own planet will be inhospitable to life within a billion years because the sun will heat up as it dies. :(

Do you wonder if, on the 'other' side, we each have a neurotypical counterpart? Maybe the Wrong Planet is an alternative universe, although we definitely intersect with the other side.

I once knew an older man whom I very much liked and he had an astute understanding of autism/AS. He commented, 'what if 7 of 9 (Star Trek character) was somehow magically transported to, say, the middle of America. Without a doubt, she would be either committed to a mental institution, branded as 'weird', or even arrested almost right away. Yet she thrives on the starship. We are like that, yes?

I learned that during medieval times and previous, small children who were described as 'on the spectrum' (of course the criteria did not exist then, but it was recognised) were believed to have been swapped by fairies! That is, fairies snatched the 'normal' baby and had exchanged it with one of their own from the other side.

I would like to visit, but not stay there. I think there's strength in diversity, and without its autistics, this world would suffer from the lack of their contribution. Segregation has never worked out particularly well, even when it's been done voluntarily and without prejudice involved, because it keeps people with different minds and perspectives from working together.

My preferred route is to turn *this* world into the right planet, a place where differences are considered at worst unremarkable and at best something to be celebrated. The diversity of the human race is a strength we should not deny ourselves the opportunity to use.

Nah--our current planet is way too educational and interesting, especially when observed as a mere observor. :)

One could suggest that "the rocket" will leave when people decide to go and build "The Right Planet".
