Probably not the most politically correct thing, but tame in comparison to some of the lyrics in death metal songs. I have better things to be offended over than music.
Good for you, then.
It's not about being offended, it's about how people to whom such labels apply are treated and dehumanized, and how the use of such words as slurs reflects broader societal mistreatment. But if it helps you ignore it to pretend it's just about "political correctness" and "being offended" then I guess go on and keep deluding yourself.
Why are you glossing over the use of the N Word and how women are treated and killing cops, usw. in hip-hop, but choosing to be offended over one part of a song? Seems like some people these days just want to get offended over everything. Relax, it's just a song written by some loon that nobody probably even listens to. If he's Ami, he has a Right to say as he wishes, popular or not. Remember the Amis let that church picket funerals, so this artist can sing about whatever he wants.
I think Drake is Canadian, he was the actor who played Jimmy(the sports kid who got shot at school and ended up in a wheelchair) on Degrassi the Next Generation, a Canadian produced show TV show made as a continuation of the orginal, I think it got US airtime.
Am I offended by the collection of random noises(its not a song in my mind), yes I am, while I greatly disliked his rap noise collections I had respect for the person who is now known as Drake and now thats completely lost, however I think meny people non autistic are offended aswell and we all have a right to be. I did listen to jodeci freestyle and found it to be of poor very quality, its just random sware words and insults put together like any other rap noise collection and I doubt it will be much of a chart topper so I think theres little to worry about there in that respect, its a good idea to at least lightly push back at the message as we have the right to do, like nicely saying "seriously not cool buddy" to someone disrespecting you at school, no need to start a major fight just state your opinion and make it known.
