I am sorry if anything I wrote implied that. I have reread all of my posts on this thread and I don't see what you see that could have in any way implied that. I was simply sharing with the OP what helps me in circumstances that might be similar to his in hopes that it might help him. Please let me know what you saw that implied that and I will do my best to correct it. In fact I can only think of two posts out of all my posts on any thread that might have implied that someone on WP might have said something unkind and none of them were on this thread. So I sincerely apologize if something I wrote here might have implied that. I certainly don't think that at all. If I thought that I would not have joined. But please let me know what it was because there is a miscommunication and I would like to do my best to clarify it.

I also know many people, not on WP, who are very kind and generous and some of them we love each other deeply. I have even been told many times that I am too naive and trusting and think too good of people and are not careful enough with them. But even some of those that I am very close to and love and trust deeply have sometimes made snide remarks to me when I have not understood certain things that they thought I should have understood. And whether it was from something I was projecting or not I don't know but I also know some people who are not so nice and they have said very mean things to me when I have asked a "stupid" question. But I have asked many questions here, on WP, that others might think are stupid and no one has ever been mean to me about it. That is what I was saying. And I am grateful for that.

Love and hugs to you, :)

I will be very interested about what you are reading. I had asked because I have people very close to me who are diagnosed with Paranoia and I am interested in learning more about it. Thank you for looking into it.

Skibum, please forgive me but I just realized I got confused back on page one when you first answered something I wrote, and I thought you were the OP. This would explain some of the discrepancies in my repliese, because the whole time I was referring back to his opening message and thinking that was you wrote that... I am kind of old, but still no excuse. It looks like he never even replied to what I wrote:-)

Thank you for explaining your thoughts to me. I really appreciate it. Some people are not so generous and just give me some rude remark and say that I should be able to understand whatever they say which does not help. It is so refreshing to find that people are kind and generous here on WP.

Re your comment quoted above, it seems I misread it. It can be read two ways..So again, sorry. Anyway, this aside, we did have some good communication. I guess I will continue reading up on it, but there is no longer the urgency and the same focus, since you are not paranoid..That is the problem. Also I am not sure if this thread is the appropriate place to continue this discussion. I may write a little bit more here, and then maybe we can continue elsewhere or if it is okay with the Op we can continue a bit here. I already understand more about this then when I started writing, and I am relating some of what I have been reading to myself and my personal life which makes the subject kind of painful. Though I am not really paranoid, a recent situation has come up which has triggered some extreme stuff in me, and I do now see this kind of element to a limited degree in my own personality, so to really read this kind of theory brings me face to face with my own inner lack, and that is quite unpleasant...

Object relations theory is very interesting. As many who are even a little familiar with psychology probably know, it dates back to Melanie Kein and her theory of the good (and bad) breast. Quite fascinating, but her theories have been criticized as being kind of overly speculative. I am not too good at verbalizing what I have been reading so far, which is basically her position, but in a lot of kind of elaborate psychological moves (according to Klein) the infant projects his own anxiety regarding his own aggression outward, as he is afraid it will destroy himself, but then this is still too threatening, so he incorporates it back into himself in a slightly modified form in order to have more control, but this is still not enough to alleviate anxiety, so then he projects it outward again...the way I describe this is way over simplified and may not even be right...I will read it again today....anyway some people who do not have enough pleasant and safe experience as children to defend against their own aggression and anxiety (which everyone has) get stuck in a certain infantile stage of development and project this aggression outward as they cannot integrate what she calls the good breast and the bad breast within themselves. However, I do not think an understanding of this kind of theory or any kind of theory about paranoia can really help someone who is paranoid, but rather such a person needs to develop a feeling of safeness and gratification within himself to counter balance the anxiety, so this is where the thrust of treatment and/or work on oneself should be....

I've met my share of nice people on this site; I am glad to be their friends.

Yes, I do have this fear, it mostly concerns people I meet at the anime conventions I go to every year.

No worries at all Little Bee! I figured it was a misunderstanding. It's all good.

I am so glad that be here and to have met you here as well and I enjoy our conversations very much. I think it would be great to start a new thread on what you are learning and reading. Hopefully it will be able to help the OP as well.

Big Hug,
