I get surprised when I see people setting their clocks fifteen minutes fast. The theory, of course, is they won't be late for where they need to be. But surely they must know it's actually fifteen minutes earlier that what their timepiece says. Strange logic.

I am a clock watcher to a certain extent, cause I'm always losing track of time. Time seems to go rather fast these days.

Always needed a watch for the most part. Consciously broke myself of the habit of needing a watch. I rely on my cell phone and computer for time.

i also watch my clocks to make sure that none of them skip a second.
even if after a year of watching my clocks to make sure they are accurate, i still do not fully trust them.
they have been accurate up until now, but how do i know they will behave the same way if i withdraw my attention from them?
"while the cat is away , the mice will play" is an important saying that has led me to distrust my clocks.

I only watch the clock if I am excited or anxious about something.

Agreed! It doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe if someone set ALL of my clocks...say...3 minutes ahead. In secret. It would help. But, even then, I would still want to know exactly what time it is!

I only have a clock on my computer and I very rarely look at that.

I usually watch the clock when I'm due to do something. The clocks I look at usually are either on my cell phone or on my computer.

i also watch my clock because i need to know if it is keeping accurate time. i want to see the first inkling of a dis-synchronicity between my wall clock and my computer clock. my wall clock could be said to be an atomic clock because it is composed of atoms. but that is not good enough for me.

No....I need alarms to remind me of things. I don't think about time without prompting.

I do check the time quite a lot as in my house we have a clock in every room and people started calling me the birdlime which is a cockney rhyme slang for the time.
