That's how I am. That's how both of my Aspie friends are. I am most comfortable around other Aspies- well, other extroverted, rambling Aspies. It's nice because our awkwardness just cancels out. We understand each other's conversational deficits. I have absolutely no conception how to end a conversation, and neither do my Aspie friends, but we somehow get when to end when we're together. It's, like, an unspoken bond of sorts. And since we all interrupt each other, we don't have to worry about the awkward: "Oh, I'm sorry. Go ahead." That's always what I have to do with NT's. But with the Aspies? We just run each other over, and we don't bother to apologize.

They say that happy families are all happy in the same way, but unhappy families are each unhappy in a different way.
On one hand, I get along better with aspies because we can quickly dispense with unnecessary social formalities. On the other hand, they are bored to death by my obsessions and I'm bored to death by theirs.
