I always remember good/important dreams.
Sometimes I wish my dreams were real.

I have really weird, but occasionally interesting dreams. I find that the more I try to think about them when I wake up, the less I can remember about them, which is a bit annoying. I can actually feel myself forgetting. That's why, for a while, I kept a dream journal to catalog all of the immersive dreams I had with as many details as possible. That way, they couldn't be erased from my knowledge. I recommend it.

Yes, I would so love that. Some of my dreams you could write entire stories about. But I cannot always remember every detail. If I could record my dreams, I could make a fortune selling books/films about them

hey bios...

you should start doing what i do and just start writing down your dreams... i have a book of my dreams from since about 2002 and all i have to do to remember anyone of those dreams in their entirity is read their title.

it's kinda hard to start out... just write down anything you remember... sense colors... feelings.... it's amazing how fast your memory can pick up the pace and pretty soon you'll be retaining your dreams in your conscious much more accessibly.

I could try doing this, though a diary would be most useful for remembering the events of the dreams. On the other hand, the most interesting thing for me to retain is the precise visual detail of the scenery (the "special effects"). This couldn't be recreated even marginally well unless I was REALLY good at drawing (or had an excellent drawing program on my computer) and took an hour or two every morning after I woke up to replicate what I had seen in the dream. I clearly don't have the time to do that, and even then I couldn't get the photographic quality I'd be looking for.

Of course, given the tools at hand, a diary with simple, "evocative" sketches is probably the best was to go.

I dream about Final Fantasy, so I'm pretty sure no one would want to see me as a Red Mage.

A lot of my dreams have to do with cats in some way or another.

I would just rather have a device that recorded any thought. Although that seems like an interesting idea, I am also scared of potential misuse of such a device... Could you imagine a world where your inner world is no longer private?
