I had the exact same issue when I was younger.

I do too, especially when the food is quite hot and everything together. When I experimented with food I learned that I like this too. The food must be hot and everything must be warm and I pick what goes in the mix. Other people pull up their nose to what I am eating because it doesn't look right to them.

I never was that interested in how food looks, just what it tastes like and feels like.

I eat when I am hungry, that doesn't seem to gel with the people around me, because I am never hungry when they are. Or on the time they are suppose to eat.

When I was younger, I had a problem with food touching. I also felt the food was tasteless or plain gross. I asked for salt, but salt was considered bad. So they left me to finish eating but I never did, I just fell with me head in the plate when I slept.

I am very careful with the food I pick to eat. I don't like chicken that isn't de-boned properly. I have to concentrate really hard not to gag if I bite into it. I am 34 years old and it still hasn't changed for me. I do try eating new foods and experiment what goes good together. It's not easy when people don't understand.

Every time my mom buys a chicken on the second day she presumes to make chicken soup out of it,no matter how much I dislike it. The first 5 times she never strained the bones out. One of those 5 times I had to spit out the wish bone,I was not happy and I refused to eat it and have every time sense. She now strains the soup, but after the wish bone incident I have had enough. She will not stop making it And I have to settle for eating nothing as she will not make anything else.

Whenever I am emerging from a depressive episode (during which I eat little) I MUST EAT 12 pieces of fried chicken: 3 breasts, 3 thighs, 3 legs, 3 wings. Which I just did.

Talk about being a pig! I can barely get through 4 wings and 4 potato wedges, plus a pound of baked macaroni and cheese and 1 liter of water!

If it weren't for Him I'd be an utter disaster. But I struggle with life big time.

I would eat anything other than some junk food (stuff full of colors and artificial flavors). I grew up in poverty and scarcity was common. You eat everything that's available and don't waste anything. I didn't like strong tasting food when I was little but would eat them anyway. Oh wait, there was one thing I would never eat - boiled ground pork. It was served with every meal in my daycare and it spoiled everything else. Teachers told my mom I didn't like meat. I ate tons of meat when my family cooked them, like stews, roasts, ribs, meatballs...etc. I didn't think bits of bland whitish fat swimming in grey water qualify as meat. The only thing that could taste worse would be rotten food.

I would think eating good food and no junk is extremely unusual in North America. :D

well, being that you had enough executive functioning to make it through 4 years of college and to be a professional, you far exceed my performance in dealing with life. I could not even rate a date.
