I have some serious problems in this area.

I have recently begun using some personal financial software named YNAB for You Need A Budget. And it seems to me that the method that they use to assign income to budget items ("Give every dollar a job") could be used to assign time to tasks.

I will experiment with this this week.

I really relate to everything posted by the OP, as well as many other posts on this thread. I get so stressed and anxious about all the things I haven't gotten done that just seem to pile up over time. Then sometimes a situation will come up that makes me sort of panic and feel that I HAVE to get some things done, and it's usually a lot of things by that time. So I'll force myself to be more productive for a while, and be kind of obsessive and rigid about it. Then I get sort of worn out and sick of it and fall back into obsessive interests, lose time, lose sleep, etc. At the end of it all I usually feel kind of like a wrung-out rag, then the cycle starts all over again. I definitely need to find a way to start doing things differently because this way really isn't working for me.

I am pretty much incapable of getting anything done. It is very difficult for me to consistently do anything on a regular basis.

My ADD med helps me remember stuff to do, but I still forget to do some stuff anyway even with meds sometimes.
They can help me remember to do homework or to wash my hair.
The worst thing that can happen to me is forgetting to take my med. I can't do most stuff on a regular basis without it. When I forget to take it I even get distracted on the bus and get off in a part of the city I don't know well and I start panicking. Once I had a panic attack in the street because of that.
Even when I have taken my med I have to write stuff down to remember about it. I also have troubles studying for more than 15 minutes without a pause. I'd even forget to eat if my mother didn't call me for lunch or dinner.
But it was worse when I was younger.
The only things I can remember to do on a regular basis without my med are going to the toilette, drinking water and wasting my time in unproductive ways, that's what I can do better and what I am doing right now
