I also have two types of writing.
The first one is slow and very pedantic - to put all that dots and lines to the right order. It takes some time but I find it much easier to read.
The second one is my fast (or common) writing and it's quite miserable.

When I was attending elementary school I was depressed of writing cursive and I was the only one that used a block letters.

On the other hand, I learn Japanese and I'm fascinated (obsessed) with their writing styles and therefore I'm trying to write as smooth as I can. But the more I learn, the more I write automatically... and it's starting to look ugly

Thank goodness I can rewrite my notes and print them. I do it very often.

I guess my cursive is okay. I have a lot of trouble reading some kinds of cursive.
