Thanks CharityForFun, I know you're right. But I don't think it can get better, the office culture is a mocking culture.

It's bothersome people cannot treat others properly (as equals) even when they have a lower or higher social "ranking". I know my boss is my boss, so of course I'll do what he says job-wise.

Aw come on, half the time you're David Against The Corporate Goliath, and the rest of the time you're Winston Smith coming face-to-face with the rats and screaming "Do it to Julia!"

Make your mind up. If you're being bullied (and mockery can be regarded as bullying -- particularly if it is related to aspects of your AS, in which case it comes under specific protective legislation (off the top of my head, the Equality Act (2010), but don't quote me on that) then you can either stand or fold.

If things are already so bad you want to leave, then what have you got to lose by having a quiet word with the HR manager?

If a generally-prevailing and currently unchallenged workplace culture is unacceptable to people within it, then it has to be directly address and changed to some degree.

Do it tomorrow, and take the first step to proving a socially-just workplace in which you are not treated disrespectfully. If not for you, then for those who will come later.

It's your duty to The Hierarchy!

I know what you mean, but I really care so little about that office and the people working in it that I'd rather just get away and get on with my life in a better job.

Trust me, it is so ingrained in those people to bully and find their place in the pecking order and challenge that position that they are impossible to deal with.

FFS stop playing at martyrs and go and speak to HR.. You can look for another job at the same time. But I bet I can guess which situation gets treated quickest.

I've only got 10 working days left, and then I am to go back and study as planned. I don't think HR are to take any action over 10 working days. I have to stand them in those days and then get out of there.

It will look better on my CV if everything just worked out "smoothly".
