Yes! My father was 67; mother was 41 when I was born. I have read and heard from many sources, that the older the father, the greater chance of autism in the child. I haven't heard that about older mothers, though.

And needless to say, the older the parents, the greater chance that they won't live long enough to see the child to adulthood (this was the case with me).

My mother was dx'd with schizophrenia when she was 23, she had me at 30. So, i'm 7 years of madness lol!

Mom was 24 and my dad 28. Pretty average age to have kids I would think.
