While I do think the idea of this thread is just going to make a lot of people have hurt feelings, I don't think that there's anything wrong with letting people that I appreciate know that I appreciate them. I'm guessing a lot of people here probably don't get much positive encouragement in real life, so a shot of it here is probably a good thing.

That is a stupid thing to say. Why can't people have fun out of this sort of thing? I remember a user named dej tell me a while back that I "didn't have the tranquil personality that comes with aspergers". What an ignorant b***h - the AS community is just as diverse as the NT one.

It's a perfectly relevant thing to say from my point of view. It's just annoying when you come to a site like this for real, substantial support and have to wade through all this that just seems like the kind of thing you're excluded from IRL. Don't let me stop you though, just don't imply that I have a stupid point of view, thx.

It was a semi-joke, hale.

I haven't actually seen any of these threads get to the negative area. It's an appreciation thread, and usually it's well-deserved too, as hale has pointed out.

Anyways, I like Starbuline the best.

Other contenders are alex, Tequila, Quatermass, and various others.

Well it's okay not not enjoy it, but I don't think accusing people of not having aspergers for it is fair, either. I'm not in with the cliques here, and I spit on the idea of it, but they still might have aspergers.

I always look forward to Webert sharing his wisdom.

Also like Prof_Pretorius & Unknown.

But really what's up with these popularity threads recently and why do we need to have favorites and have others feeling left out? There's over 8000 members and mainly its just the same handful of people get picked for the WP popularity awards. I side with Maldoror.

I didn't mean what I said as a joke. It's annoying on a psychological level and abuses the "Autism Discussion" thing totally. I mean yeah, I understand the want to be "appreciated" or whatever, but are you really that neglected that it needs to spill out onto a forum for a freaking social disorder? I really don't mean to sound like an oager, and I appreciate that you seem to at least understand where I'm coming from.
