I would never laugh about the following things:

1) Someone's physique, physical features, attire and accent
2) Sad things such as someone's death, losing a job, divorces
3) Somebody being inferior to you in some ways

If I did, I would probably get my @$$ whooped.

NTs talk a good game about not laughing at people, not bullying, etc., but most of them do it anyway. "Don't laugh at people" is code for "don't laugh in the wrong way, in front of the wrong people, but only when you know you'll get away with it".

i have a tendancy to laugh in terrible situations like Funerals, makes me look insensitive to death.

I would never laugh at the expense of somebody's misery, although I do witness this sort of thing happening quite a lot.

Laughing at me?

Cruel, and inappriate!

Laughing at you?

Acceptable.

You, and me, together, laughing at a third party?

Good clean fun!

Very acceptable!

So you agree you have double standards?

Exactly, my observation too.

Think about it.

What I did was proclaim that you cant laugh at me.

But I purposely said it in a way that makes me look laughable ( a joke at my own expense).

So the statement contradicts itsself to make a point. The point being that you cant make hard and fast rules about what to laugh at.

Ah okay, I see.

I would say it is only okay to laugh:

- Out of fear

- Out of finding "flaws" in someone you are genuinely friendly/close with.

So I do not think it is okay to laugh out of finding "flaws" in someone you are not genuinely friendly/close with.

So to me, it would be okay to laugh about your post out of fear that people can have double standards, or that you could have the "flaw" of having double standards (given we only wanted the best for each other).

It is the "Look at him, he is flawed, that means I am better than him, so I should let him know that"-kind of laughing I find obnoxious.

I don't think there is much to laugh about anything at all, so generally I am opposed to laughing.

Best wishes,

Volterra.
