I found this website:
http://www.symbolworld.org/

I felt that it may help some people, as it simplifies things by having pictures that go with the words.

On the website it has a section covering interesting news/media stories, recipes, and all sorts of other stuff.

I appreciate that most of the people that read/post in WrongPlanet can read, but they may know someone that can't.
Maybe that person would like to learn, and this website  SymbolWorld may help them.

I can read but for me this site is awesome!
I have some complaints though that sometimes instead of choosing intuitive symbols they get too attached to the words and sentences and we get the wrong meaning from the symbols.
ex: the sentence was :
He took bread and water as all the food was gone.
The symbols were a person, then a bread, then water, then lots of food, then gone. Since we can't represent the meaning of "as" in symbols, this would be misunderstood as "he took lots of food but they disappeared"
