a similar thing, but with kids (starts out talking about feral children, then progresses to show children who were raised in isolation)

That was a good Wikipedia article. I think the problem says as much about the problems of Japanese culture, the pressure and the phoniness, as it does about the disorder these kids have. (Some may be Aspies reacting to having AS as well as to the culture.)

This really isn't surprising in a culture so family-oriented and so crowded into small spaces. Seems like a natural reaction to me; of course they recover when given some privacy and breathing room! :)
