I would bet that none of those people could organize a retreat, to save their lives. (I certainly couldn't!) And if they think that IQ is the only measure of a person's worth, that's their failing, not yours.

But hopefully they are decent people, and will recognize your own unique talents, and appreciate everything you've done to bring them together. Good luck with the preparations – sounds like a really fun event! :D
