It would make sense since you said the symptoms started after you had an infection, and CC disorders can be acquired through infection. And if it is not congenital, it could be something that can be treated...another reason why it's a good idea to get the right diagnosis.

I found this, didn't read all the way through it yet but it's many different examples of CC abnormalities, some congenital and some acquired

My mom says that I had symptoms even before any infections. They just got more autistic-like after the infection.
