I used to buy small pieces of this plastic stuff from the craft department and that was the best thing I found to chew, but I didn't do that very often because I was afraid it might hurt me. I also chewed on pen caps and those silicone bracelets that used to be popular a few years ago, and my nails. I have managed to stop most of that now except once in the while, but I would like to find something safe to chew because I still have that urge when I see things that look nice to chew.

Apologies for posting so long after the previous post, but I tend to chew on pen tops, you the type you get with BIC pens, ( it is easy to find my pens)

i have also chewed on mu calculator case as well.

Not surprising I have issues with chipped front teeth!! !!

I also chew on straws.

Does anyone else do this?

If the person swallows it intentionally(ie. eats plastic) the behavior is called Pica.
Do you just chew it or do you eat it?
