lol that's so recognizable! Most of the time it's no biggie for me either. I think i'm adapting really well to changes all the time, for an autistic person.
I think what's bothering me the most is the surprising element. I hate surprises!

Yeah. When it happened I had this brief 'why is this happening to me' moment. I could barely read the news feed properly for days. But I want to stay off Facebook. I don't really like the culture.

I was beginning to think that I was the only person in the world only mildly annoyed by small changes like that.
Even my NT friends b***h about any tiny change to a website's layout.

I'd be pretty happy if my issues with change went away. Like, I don't enjoy the fact that when websites change their layout I sometimes can't even use them for a time, and often just get frustrated because I can't find the things I need. I mean, that's just online. Offline stuff is frustrating too.

I didn't notice the layout change until yesterday, when I clicked on my profile, then immediately clicked out to find it changed, so now the timeline feed looks smaller. Feels more cramped now.

I might have to add that Firefox went with a change once that really did upset me... :x
It was the default homepage. It was changed - it was not the look that bothered me all too much (changes were minimal) but the search bar I have on my upper right of the window (where I usually have a dictionary or Wikipedia selected) decided over what the homepage would search for. It was not Google anymore!
When I had my dictionary selected in the quick-search bar on the upper right, would open the homepage and input something into the homepage to search for, it would seach in my dictionary - which was annoying as heck! What was the point of the change to begin with!? Might as well remove the bar on the upper right then. I really couldn't deal with that. I need Google (at all times) on my homepage, this was not a timesaver at all anymore, it was annoying!
The second day I got so angry that I googled for the old firefox homepage from roughly 2 or 3 versions ago and use that one nowadays... Not cool! :x

You could always just set Google as your home page? (In Firefox, go to Options > Options > General and put the link to Google into the box where it says "Home Page" (second one from the top), then save. Then you'll always have Google on your home page.

By the way, if you do a lot of searching, this is a brilliant add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... xt-search/

Thanks for the add-on-tip!

Well, the reason I prefer the Firefox homepage over the regular Google page is because it doesn't change nearly every day. Some of those pictures that Google uses for its logo on some events don't really resemble the letters and are distracting.

Haven't seen you in a minute, Sylvastor. Glad to see you're back on board. I fondly remember your contributions.

I honestly didn't notice the lay-out changes, but that may have something to do with that I haven't been very active on Facebook to begin with over the past few years. I just recently set up a new Facebook account, and it's not even tied to my real identity, but rather an alias under which I maintain a weblog. I guess the changes are too subtle to bother me.

Thanks!
A lot has happened during the past year (some unfortunate events, which I intend to share with WP sooner or later for various reasons, but now I'm mostly busy with trying to get on a university before the timespan in which one can register ends, so that might have to wait as it is a lot I would have to tell... :?)

Talking about changes... I'll also have to get used to your new avatar. I usually recognize members on forums by their avatars first, so I had to realize it is in fact you.

Yes. I was annoyed by that. They shrunk the timeline and made the sidebar ads bigger. I don't mind change per se but change that pushes advertising more prominently into my vision is annoying.

The funny part is when looking at Facebook from my phone nothing's changed, and that's what I like better.
