To be honest, I don't think I am good at differenciating between "looking at" and "looking through" in those photographs. At least I seem to have troubles, they look fine to me. You're just not smiling.

And when looking at mine... No idea if "aspie-stare" or not. :lol:

Just read part of your blog KingdomOfRats and smack those people across the side of the head for me. I too have suffered with migraines since very early teens. I too now am fighting for help and/or disability due to my lumbar and cervical problems in the spine. Same as you but the idiot doc that examined me for the state says I can stand/work use arms and hands fine. He didn't even do a proper test. Supposed to do straight leg raises to check lumbar and several others he never did. My doc says that I will live with till I pass, but if they can fix that I would prefer. I hate sitting around all the time. Damn professionals anyway! Makes you wonder how they got all their certifications.

Here are some childhood pictures of me (the below picture with my twin-sister) from different ages. There's also one in my avatar. Can you identify 'the stare' (or anything)?

My pictures above had only been reproduced via taking a picture of them with a DSLR camera. I think they are of good quality (good light, good lens). Maybe you can try this too, but I wouldn't recommend getting rid of the originals, at least I feel always this way with any relic of the past...

Poker faced baby back when the world was black and white.
I don't know if this is any kind of aspie stare, but I didn't smile back in those days.

What do you all think of this one? I've never really studied the eyes in my child photos before. This is a pretty interesting thread! I'd like to learn more

Oh yes, photos in this thread are all beautiful. I don't know what about you but I still have a child in myself who is very pleased at these occasions.

I can tell that the smile is fake. It defiantly looks like you are too shy to wanna smile. I know that felling all too well.
