Cool tim tex!! !

Did anyone notice that the "non-verbal" child made the sign for "yes?" This is something that has always bothered me... that clinicians refuse to acknowledge sign language in autistic kids as "speaking."

I started crying when I saw the computer stuff set up in the non-verbal kids room...I'm so happy for them.

I always wondered why if they can sign why they still consider them non-verbal. I'm glad that he got computer equipment.
I wish that they could do a follow-up as to how they are doing in a month's time.
I wonder if any of those kids have any sensory issues? It didn't seem like that they focussed on that at all.

By the way Tim_Tex that's pretty cool!

The reason I thought the dad was aspie-ish is because he had awkward speech and an unsteady gaze, and his posture and body language were a little awkward.

I was wondering about the sensory issues, too. For one thing, using that darn bullhorn and all of the cheering crowds would have been overwhelming for a lot of us.

And Tim_Tex, that is really neat about having the same doctor!
