Of course you don't get blue eyed aspie. That's just something made up, like the boogeyman or Barack Obama. Anyone who claims to have both is clearly part of some sort of conspiracy.

That must be why they could not diagnose me when I was very young - I had (and still have) blond hair and blue eyes like my NT brothers.

I think that having blue eyes with autism can exacerbate certain visual sensitivities, such as photophobia:

If this is a serious question, I think you can. But I have green eyes.

Really can't tell how to interpret this question... :\ :P

Yes, because an unannounced facetious board on an autism forum is really going to be effective :)

Absolutely. People are often quite amazed by the color of my eyes, in fact. ;)

Just to clarify, I do in fact have blue eyes, and I was officially diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at a young age, so I'm living proof that the two can go together.

When I was first brought in to be diagnosed, the first thing that they noted was that I do not have blue eyes. The second thing observed was that my hair is straight instead of curly. Then they read my palm. This is not a joke, I am dead serious.

Hmmmmm, I have noticed that a disproportionally high number of avatars on this thread are smiling. Some threads have had no smiling avatars shown at all.
I wonder whether this indicates a correlation between the type of person who would be interested in this type of question, and the type of avatar they choose?
Or maybe people who are interested in eye colour tend to be obsessed with smiling facial expressions?
Or maybe people who respond to thread topics containing the word 'blue' are generally happy?

I wonder if I can get funding to get to the bottom of this?

My eyes are blue.

And now that I have started thinking about this, I am probably going to start paying attention to the approximate proportion of smiling avatars that I notice in the future. sigh.

For me it is because the question is silly. So it attracts people who like to laugh.

It's like Beavis and Butthead--so absurd that you have to laugh.

i had no idea this was even considered to be related... of course you can have both.

as for me, i got the 'flakey' eyes; blue in the centre, green outside with a brown dividerline, that's flaked to no end, like a crosssection of your intestines.
