I don't think so, I've only talked to her briefly about autism-related things when we talked one on one a little bit. However, we mostly interacted in the context of the ASL group.

Have you experience working with deaf/hard of hearing people?

This experience, it seems to me, might be a valuable tool to be used within ABA for nonverbal clients.

Yup, I'm planning to volunteer in the field, hopefully with kids. It's definitely valuable and is part of why I'm learning ASL (another part is a genuine interest in Deaf culture).

I'm going to step away from WP for a few days so I won't continue posting in this thread. I have a busy week ahead. I think the responses have been helpful and this issue has been more or less resolved - I will contact at least one of these people within the next few days about mentorship.
