I'm all for the fiction idea and several AS characters, but personally I hope it won't be an autistic planet. I want it to stay realistic and the moment you add something like that you practically make us aliens, even if it is an Earth Colony. Since a lot of us never went to (or should ever have been in) special school, it would be nice if at least some characters don't. Show the spectrum as Aspergers alone is such a diverse group! Just my two cents. No offense to Linatet's suggestions. I'd just really love to see fiction where I can identify with one of the main characters!

If you do get it written and published, Valerie, I hope you'll notify us

I didn't mean to actually make a suggestion of an autistic planet but rather give random examples to show it is up to her to explain all the main characters being autistics. The plot is up to her. The point is, autistic characters.
and that is exactly the point, to have characters with different personalities and subtypes, and from all over the spectrum of course. This would show NT's more about autism and how we really are and how diverse we can be than a formal non-fiction descriptive book.
I think it is a cool idea! Imagine all main characters, autistics! And diverse. Doing cool stuff. We really need this series.

Ah, okay then.
Yeah, I couldn't agree more: it's a wonderful idea and we need this book! I'm really into fiction myself and would love to read this. I always try to watch/read fiction with AS characters but so far I have ended up disappointed because of how they were portrayed.

How to cope with prejudice, oppression and ignorance from the NT world without losing hope. That would have been the most useful book for me.
