yes

when I was about 12, I looked into the sun during a solar eclipse, until I remembered that was stupid. I always put them down to that. I hadn't noticed them prior, but who knows?

My corrected vision is excellent and my optometrist has never mentioned any retna damage.

I've got one or two small ones in my life if I've looked up at the sky, but no, not really.

Lying down now looking up at the light on the roof I can actually see quite a few... Oh well, they don't seem to be much harm.

I have a lot of them. I've learned to ignore them.

I thought floaters were hard stools that floated in the water. Has anyone seen that bit of Kevin and Perry Go Large when they're in the sea? If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean.

I get them sometimes. If I get them frequently, I don't notice them.

Yes, I get that. There's this one spot that affects the left view from my right eye. It's easiest to see against a bright blue sky. It's actually kind of fun to chase it around...

Tequila, I haven't seen that movie, but every time I see the name of this topic that's the first thing that comes to mind.

They could have chosen a different name for these things, must be dissapointing for the people coming in here hoping to read about the different kind. I feel sorry for them. :(

Like most things that afflict vision, I get used to them and stop seeing them after a while... the visual processing whatsit in my brain just filters them out for me. Until someone reminds me about them, and then suddenly there they are again :?

I can relate to this very closely.
My floater is in my left eye, it follows my eye movement and sometimes it lies directly in my line of slight.
It gets in the way when I am reading off a bright monitor, it seems more visible in bright conditions.
It moves around in different locations in my eye and I can't seem to get rid of it, it is annoying like the crack in the corner of a TV screen, it's there and I'm aware of it regardless of it's size.
