I f***ing hate when people say that. To me it sounds very condescending. It's also a very poor argument.

It is a poor argument to suggest that abstract thinking makes religious people crazy.

I wasn't condescending to you. I disagreed with you.

I wasn't saying that abstract thinking makes religious people crazy. I was saying that describing abstract concepts is very difficult for most people.

All religions are basically attempting to describe an abstract concept. Since it's difficult to communicate abstract concepts it can lead to a lot of miscommunication.

Since religious stuff is very abstract it's obvious that there will be a lot of miscommunication and misinterpretation. A lot of religious people interpret the bible(or whatever book they have) in a crazy way and end up having crazy beliefs. Since the bible isn't that concrete it's very hard to prove or disprove their interpretation with logic.

Sorry if this makes no sense.

No, that makes a lot of sense. I don't disagree.

I am sorry that my response was offensive to you - I wasn't trying to be.

It's ok. I forgive you. I was also complaining about people like my ex-boyfriend and that an annoying teacher at my school.

Ah, yeah. I can see how it'd definitely be annoying.

I've been having a lot of "doing words" issues lately, but I'll try to drop that phrase from my repertoir.
