Me too! I had a toy hammock just for tub toys, and my parents got me some crayons for drawing in the tub. I always loved pools too, especially swimming underwater, and especially the deep end. I did almost drown at a friends birthday party once though, before I could properly swim. Eyes were off me for only a second, and that's all it took. I don't remember it at all, but my parents are still freaked out by it, and I'm 31 years old.

There's a story from when I was a kid, one time me and my parents were by the sea during the summer. Me and my mom were at the beach with most people, while my dad stood fishing further out on the hillside where it was much deeper water. What I've been told, and I vaguely remember it myself, is that I just started walking towards him from the beach and out into the water, and just walked on until I was under the water and almost drowned. Luckily someone came to rescue me, but it could have ended much worse. As I recall I did it because I became anxious that I saw my dad far away and wanted to go to him.

I just love being around water. Creeks, lakes, waterfalls, rivers, oceans, on a boat. I think I could have been a sailor.

My Dad had a sailboat for a while and it was a lot of fun.

Growing up, I loved vacationing at Myrtle Beach with my parents. I found it so enjoyable walking up and down the beach with them. As I enjoyed the walks, I would study the architecture of each motel and hotel I passed by, noting the number of floors and apparent age of each structure. I seemed to find magic in lodging that was on the water. Even in the backyard of my childhood home, I would pretend that the yard was the ocean and the sidewalk the sandy beach.

I've always liked watching the ocean, and listening to the roar of the waves. Never learned to swim, though--I almost drowned when I was 6, guess that put me off of it.

I find water very very calming and comforting. It does not matter if it is a quiet lake, babbling brook, massive waterfall, ocean, whatever it is, it feels like it calls me and draws me to it. And like Marybird said, the sparkles and the wave patterns and all the beauty of water can be intoxicating to me.

heh...You said babbling brook.

Yes I did. :) Did you have a question or a comment about it? I love babbling brooks. The sound so beautiful and are such fun to look at and walk and wade in.
