I love spring. Summer is just too hot. I sunburn easily and can't stand the heat. Worst of all is the mosquitos. Fire ants too but those are pretty much a year round nuisance where I live.

I like some humidity, as long as it's not excessive. It's good for my skin and hair. I do NOT like dry air. But getting hot enough to sweat really makes my skin burn.

Sunlight bothers me all year, it's actually worse for me in winter because the sun is lower in the sky.

Yeah, the summer it just makes everything too extreme in all sorts of ways.

Way too many people outside especially makes me very uncomfortable walking outside, like it better when it's cold or rains and people stay indoors.

My hands get really cold and achy in low temperatures, so warm weather is welcome. It's nice to not have to wear mittens all the time.
My biggest issue with spring and summer is the brightness. It makes my head hurt. I do love being outside though, and I spend most of my time at home if I don't have to work. I bought a swing for a shady part of the backyard. For now, it's nice to sit there and read/write/watch squirrels.

For me, summertime brings GOOD sensory issues, in the form of amusement parks. The lights, the sounds, the smells, the vestibular stimuli... Ah, pure heaven. Counting the days until my annual Cedar Point pilgrimage.

I guess I'm different. I wear a really light sweatshirt or jacket when I'm out in the sun but mostly I try to avoid going outside at all costs. I love rain and snow not sunny and humid/bees.

I am the same, I find summer to be very frustrating. Windows open, people everywhere, even the smell of summer makes me feel frustrated. If I lived in a house by the ocean in a quiet setting, I would like it. On days where people ask me "what did you do today, it was such a lovely day", I say I went for a walk and did this and that just to appear normal but in actual fact I stay in my bedroom with the blinds drawn and the a/c on.
Just sensing all this activity around me together with the sunlight and noises and colours and movements makes me feel anxious, confused and in effect, isolated and sad.

I only don't hate summer if I'm at the beach, in a pool, or in adequate air conditioning. I wilt in the heat. I was one of those widdle Aspies who wore short sleeves in the middle of winter and refused to wear a coat until it was below freezing. Thank God I'm not that bad anymore (it was horrible being so hot all the time), but I still have way less of a heat tolerance than average and can still go get the mail in just my PJs and snow boots in the middle of a snowstorm without getting cold.

I hate heat, I hate not being able to wear tights and long sleeves, I hate humidity, I hate heat, I hate sweating, I hate bugs, and did I mention that I REALLY, REALLY HATE HEAT? I also hate hearing all the conformist ninnies talking about their barbeques and whatnot that I can tell most of them don't really even want to go to and are only having because society says they should. It also drives me crazy how the weather people on TV talk about the heat and sun like everyone loves it and that nice weather and hot weather are synonymous. It triggers my PTSD and makes me feel like they're making fun of me for preferring cold weather.

I don't know what to do about it other than only coming out of the air conditioning to go to the beach. How not to go mad during the summer is definitely one of the first things I'll ask my occupational therapist. (I finally found one, yay!)

Reasons to dislike Summer:
Allergies, crawling bugs, lawn mowers, construction that cause detours, birds singing in the morning, crickets, buzzing bees and wasp, neighbors are louder, sound of motorcycles, driving my car without air conditioning with the windows rolled down, My car is like getting into a oven, destructive thunderstorms and tornados, 4th of July fireworks, extreme heat, sunburns ( I stay inside because of this )

Reasons I like Summer:
Do not have to wear a coat, no snow, able to drive to work without worrying about slick roads, no sub zero temperatures, can take my dog for a walk at night. It stays daylight longer.

I don't like summer as it gets stinking hot here and then I feel lethargic, also I have to try and keep my garden alive and the grass turns into a dust bowl.
Luckily we're getting our winter soon and I can now go for long walks without feeling all hot and sweaty.
