Getting tested for OCD
I presume you believe it's OCD because you don?t want these thoughts (as they are invasive and cause feelings of anxiety). Correct?
For me, I have obsessions, but I sort of enjoy them.
I don't really want those thoughts. I'm sick of questioning my sexuality, but I just can't stop for too long. I can distract myself from my obsessions once in a while, but they all come rushing back eventually. OCD people also ruminate, which can be addictive. I kind of enjoy ruminating, but I get a lot of negative emotions from the obsession. I also get intrusive thoughts about sexual acts that kind of disgust me.

Yes, ruminating can be a fun activity. I think it's only when it's something I can't figure out (like the actions of other people, or in my case now, my own inner workings and what is "wrong" with me) that it becomes a bad obsessive thing that's quite upsetting. It's much more fun to ruminate over other things that seem less personal and more easy to decipher.
Those intrusive thoughts definitely sound like OCD though: I'm sure your psych will pick up on that. That's not an Autistic trait, so they can't place it down to that.
I'm not even sure if I actually enjoy ruminating. I just do it because it's something to do and it distracts me from other issues. It's also a huge addiction for me. I kind of want to let it go, but I don't.
Most of my ruminating is centered around my sexuality. Every time I look at someone I question if I'm attracted to them. If I feel "attracted" to the wrong person I get anxious. If I don't get attracted to someone I'm supposed to be attracted to I get anxious as well. Apperently this is a compulsion. I used to think I didn't have any.

Honestly, OCD isn't something you need to be tested for. The first time you go to a doctor's in relation to OCD is when you don't know what you've got - all you know is your life is HELL. If you need to be tested to find out you've got it, you haven't got it. Do you get horrible thoughts of dying from contamination, pesticides, poisons, radiation and if you don't do certain things to cleanse yourself, you're GONNA die? (like) Do you wash your hands until they bleed? Do you have to race home and shower for 2 to 3 hours simply because you walked past a pesticide guy in a shopping centre? Do you stand in the shower until the water runs cold, turn it off and stand there until the tank heats up again and shower some more? Do you check, recheck and re recheck locks, power points doors until you're 3 to 4 hours late for the appointment you originally left home for? Do you incessantly count footsteps, panels, windows EVERYTHING FOREVER nonstop? Do you spend hours and hours straightening, ordering neatening things? Do you CONSTANTLY seek reassurance from EVERYONE around you that things will be alright and that you won't die if you don't wash your hands etc. and still wash your hands for hours at a time? Do you constantly clean your home and once it's clean, scrub it with bleach again and again from top to bottom until midnight (or until you consider it's clean)? Are there places or things even in your own home, you consider too 'dirty' to go or touch? AND if you don't do these things, feel like you're going to die??? Have you had all this from around your early teens without relent?
If not, I doubt you've got OCD!! ! If you knew OCD, you wouldn't need testing to find out if you had it or not!
You've got NO IDEA what it's like to have OCD! It's a living HELL and if you need to get on WP and ask others if you've got it and need to be tested to find out, you ain't got it. Trust me, I wouldn't wish such a living hell on my worst enemy. It rips your life apart. It destroys your life. It becomes your whole life. There isn't a waking hour where OCD isn't tormenting your mind in one way or another!
Most people have quirks and some OCD like symptoms/traits but they don't make their lives a living nightmare!
Sorry, but it really hurts when you get people speaking about it so flippantly when they have NO IDEA what it's REALLY like to live the TORTURE of OCD!! !

Because I know what it is and what you're describing isn't OCD - look up Pure O. That's more like what you've got and it's far less horrible! Think yourself lucky!

Pure O it still OCD. It just has compulsions that are less visible. The Pure O obsessions tend to be more disturbing and Pure O is harder to treat.

You can read?! It's called Pure O because it's Purely Obsessions - some may have hidden/mental compulsions but not all and it's nowhere near as horrible. Anyway, I'm not going to enter into debate with an 18 year old on this subject. Live true OCD for a year and when you book yourself into the psychiatric hospital, perhaps you'll understand to not talk about such things so lightly. That's all.

I can read and I know what Pure O stands for. I've researched Pure O for hours and I've learned that people with Pure O have hidden compulsions. Why the hell is my age relevant? Why can't you just see me as a human being that has a brain just like you? I guess I shouldn't argue with a closed-minded, middle-aged Aspie who is set in his ways. Saying that Pure O is not OCD is like saying that Asperger's is not autism. How would you like it someone said "You don't have autism because you can talk. You just have Asperger's which is way less horrible because you talk and look completely normal."?

Thank you for sharing. This sounds like a living hell. Just curious, at what age did you first notice the OCD symptoms? Also, were you diagnosed with OCD, before Aspergers?

Whoa, you need to back off. This isn't a context for who has it the worst, or who really has OCD. And your experience is not the one and only standard for what "true" OCD is. No one is trying to diminish your suffering or be flippant about it. But you are being very rude and dismissive to DevilKisses. She has said before that she thinks she has pure-o. And if a person has compulsions and checking rituals that are mostly internal and mental, it isn't necessarily pure-o. But the point here is that she's having symptoms that bother her, and she just wants to get checked out for it.
Good grief, so many people here can't stand to see someone self-diagnose, but if a person wants to get formally evaluated for something, that rubs someone the wrong way too.
