Wings triad: Difficulties with:

Social interaction
Social communication

People with HFA has difficulties in all three on a significant level, whereas Aspergians only have to meet two of them.
Aspergers is now part of the spectrum along with tourettes and other, and is now called a "spectrum disorder".
Perhaps it makes reseach easier somehow, but ......

The problem with that is that the social interaction and social communication facets are actually the same symptoms worded differently. For example, 'lack of social and emotional reciprocity' (social interaction) is really not distinguishable from 'difficulty carrying on a conversation' (social communication).

Its hard to say at times at first I was Diagnosed with HFA at the age of 5 with an IQ of 111 back in the 1980s later on in the late 90s I was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome due to extended vocabulary and practicaly normal personality, I do interact with others but have trouble at times and work at jobs requiring me to interact with lots of people.
