I love smelling my best friend when he's wearing his Versace Eros cologne. Right now that's probably my favorite and most comforting current scent. I really enjoy his company as it is so him wearing that cologne is essentially an extra "positive trigger" in my head.

Other than that I've always been drawn to summer smells like freshly cut grass or the smell of barbeques cooking around the neighborhood. It reminds me of being a kid in the summer.

there is some scented hand santizer that i love the smell of, it reminds me of a trip I took with my family that I took with my family that I took when i used some with the same smell. I was so close to my grandma and she has since past so I can't help but think of her when i smell that scent.

lavender or eucalyptus spray, use it under your pillows before sleep, real nice, especially lavender.

I was wondering if anyone else has a comforting scent that if they smell, will help calm/ soothe them? I would say that my favorite perfume (Light Blue for women), the smell of apple candles and pumpkin candles really soothe me.

'Brut' after shave by Faberge (nobody I knew wore it, so there's no association there).

The smell for me, is just like catnip to a cat.

I could be ragin' mad, smell this, then start purring like a kitten and I'll eat out of anybody's hands without biting them.

Forget about a man wearing it to impress me though...it has to come straight from the bottle and not used to cover body odor which taints that pure, Brut smell.

Also, Dettol, but to a lesser degree.

Any woody, mossy and 'leather' fragrance.

Bottom notes: Indian Sandalwood.
Middle notes: Moroccan Musk.
Top notes: Tahitian Lime/Jasmine.

Floral scents make me sick and I am very particular about my perfumes and scents.

At the moment:

4711 Cologne and Yardley's English Lavender...clean crisp and 'antiseptic' scents.

I don't like any fragrance that 'hangs around' for very long.

Maybe I'll make my own perfume one day...like Britney, Katy Perry, Beyonce...

I don't like anything too strong, like most deodorants, hair sprays, cigarette.

I like mild flower scents, e.g. lavender, and yes, I like fresh laundry and clean clothes, too.

The most interesting and strange thing is that for soothing the most effective smell to me is the smell of my own body. Actually, smelling my arms, hands, fingers is one of my most frequently used stims (also, touching my lips, nose, face, looking at my hands, folding my hands, etc.).

I love the smell of fruity soap/bubble bath/bath bombs/candles etc, especially berry fruit smells. I also like incense sticks

I like the smell of my hands. I'll either sniff one hand or cup both hands and stick them over my nose. I often do this when I'm in public like at the shopping center - Mum's always telling me to stop but I often don't even realize I'm doing it.

I agree with the above, plus the ocean, lake breezes, flowers, bacon, money, babies breaths, women's handbags, french restaurants, bakeries, suntan lotion, ...

I don't have any but I've had chronic sinus problems throughout my life. I find some foods smell really good but I don't find the smell soothing or anything; I mostly care about eating the food.
