Interesting one indeed. I am not a believer in new age mumbo jumbo but certain animals have had an effect on my behaviour. Of course I am going to say it's the Grey Heron, there as been a few times this year where I have seen a Heron and it has distracted me from what ever it was I was dwelling on or thinking about. Once I was out with the dog, and I was really angry about the way i thought someone had treat me and was thinking about what so say to her in an email, very abusive thoughts were going through my head. Then a massive Grey Heron just gently glided over head, silent and graceful just giving an odd few flaps with it's wings and that was that. I was no longer angry and I did not even contact this woman which is a very good job considering. Life can be really weird at times.

I've always identified with large lizards like monitors and iguanas.

I've thought some more about this, and I've decided that, in all seriousness, the crow is my spirit animal. I've always been interested in crows...they were my favorite characters in movies (the crows from Dumbo, Jeremy from The Secret of NIMH), I have a collection of crow items, and I've always been drawn to how intelligent they are. They really are great at problem-solving. :) Some people who have managed to tame crows have even reported that they can mimic human speech and sounds like parrots can!

Many people actually regard crows and ravens with superstition and think that they are bringers of bad luck, but I think of them as the opposite. Whenever I've seen a crow in someone's yard, or flying in the air, things have often gone smoothly and according to plan for me, so that now when I happen to see a crow, I feel calm and less anxious. I think it's only something they give to those whom they know see their value and appreciate what they have to offer nature. :D

Mine is turtles. Tortoises, sea turtles - I love them all. They've been an interest of mine since I was 3. I even call my daughter who is one "turtus" because she reminds me of a little turtle( that's not her name, just something I call her)

Mine are definitely rabbits: they've always been my favourite animal, and my skittish and gentle nature cause many of my friends to identify me with them. My best friend in high school (my English teacher) used to call me "silly rabbit" and referred to my "little bunny heart" whenever physically or emotionally overwhelming things occurred. He was the one who believed my autism was just high sensitivity.

I love cats, but I think cat is not my spirit animal.

I was once asked, what my spirit animal was, by a woman who was a lot into spiritual things. The next night I saw a short but powerful dream, in which I was standing on a distant meadow alone, when a large eagle came from behind me and flew above my head. So, I think eagle might be my spirit animal.

When I was young, we always had dogs, cats and birds. Dogs were always special. It was not uncommon to see me coming home with a stray following me.

Now, we've got cats. 2 in one home, 1 in the other but they all do the same thing.
They sit on the floor in front of me and just stare at me. I know it's love. Mum thinks it's weird. My nickname is the Cat God. We communicate without words very well.

I seem to be able to relate to animals on a level no one else I know does or can.
