After a bath/shower I will usually dry my ear with a cotton bud, this usually takes care of any loose earwax. For some reason having excess water or was in my ears is really itchy.

Blood in the ears sounds a bit concerning. Have you had that checked?

YES! It drives me nuts. Especially during allergy season. My nose doesn't get very stuffy usually, but my ears fill up with wax. I also hate the way hydrogen peroxide feels when cleaning them. I'd rather stick to Q-tips, even if the entire medical community says it's a bad idea.

I can verify this to be 100% true. The cat currently laying right next to me goes wild for it. It was one of those random accidental discovery moments almost a year ago.

I habitually pick my earwax, and my nose as well. I also scratch at my acne and the dandruff buildup on my scalp. I know, it's gross. :eew:

Be careful with sticking things in your ear, not just due to compacting wax, but perforating the lining of your ear canal. I ended up with a painful ear infection several weeks ago because of this. My main problem is getting water in my ear in the shower all the time. I usually use one of those syringe things or some swimmers ear drops I have.

I've got to keep that in mind the next time I clean my ears.

Anyway, earwax doesn't really bother me. Unless it's stuck together in a huge almost solid ball. But then it's usually close to the end of the ear and I can get it out easily. My dog has been scratching his ear and shaking his head a lot. Someone suggested he might have a ball of earwax or a bug in there. It's not mites, as there's nothing coming out and smells fine. If it's the earwax, I hope it's the earwax.
You may want to make sure he does not have a little infection. It could also be an itchy mosquito bite.

I hadn't thought of that! There have plenty of mosquitos. Hence the fact that I have a ton of mosquito bites on me.lolNow that you say, though, it makes sense. After all, I don't think people are the only ones mosquitos bite. I'm guesing they could bite any warm blooded animal. I don't suppose I could use calamine lotion on him, though. That's how I get rid of the itch. I'll have to look closely for a weal(if I can get him to stay still long enoughlol).
