Lieutenant Kanya from the Windup Girl might qualify. Even better would be Lieutenant Data from Trek.

"Ode to spot" Lieutenant Commander Data

Hum... About the book, I'll have a peek to make sure the english isn't too complicated to me. Otherwise, I'll see if I can find it translated.

Anyway, even if she does not fit here... That character is definitely interesting. Now I wonder about the story, though...

What about Adam and Eve? Would "original sin" have been picked up by an NT?

Sorry. Got lost there...
There's a lot of media about "Adam and Eve". Which one are you mentioning?

While we've had a couple different Star Trek characters mentioned, I'd like to put forth Odo from Deep Space Nine. He's not a genius, but he is smart as well as very rigid and logical, and has massive faults in his social skills. Might be worth checking out for you.

Hum... Star trek again... This time spinoff series... Looks like an interesting character... I'll check it out!

If video games are acceptable, then I'd suggest playing the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Miles Edgeworth: Investigations games to meet Edgeworth. Again, he's very smart, but not a genius; his in-universe special ability is logic; he has trouble talking to other people but is still an excellent lawyer; and is comically uptight. The games are pretty light-hearted, so even Edgeworth gets a few silly moments.

I don't have an NDS T.T Q.Q.
So I guess that's not an option...

Edward from Cowboy Bebop (odd and eccentric computer genius).

Though I suppose she doesn't appear logical (she'd need to be though; just because it doesn't look like it doesn't mean it's not there), but she clearly has an ASD.

Would Gilligan fit?
He comes across as bumbling, which overtakes any thoughts of intelligence.

C3PO? (Star Wars)

Inspector Clueso (Pink Panther)

Tony Stark (Iron Man)

wonder if Dexter or Monk would meet the op#s criteria. Sherlock Holmes may even do so to a certain extent. 7 of 9 from voyager is of course another socially impaired genius

I saw some clips but I can't find clips with the original voice actor... only dubs. His voice in the dub is weird and for someone who is supposed to be intelligent, he sprouts nonsense... I don't know if that's the dubs fault, though. I usually don't like dubs because they are inherently worse than the original, no matter how hard work they put on it. The main issue lies on the lip-synchc timing constraints with the additional issue that full sentences are worded differently across languages. Still, the definitive worse thing with dubs, IMO, is the woolseyism. But that's a different talk.

I don't know who he is :S. When I search, I have multiple results.

I don't really know. AFAIK, he does not reveal to be smart. Logical thinker, yes but not particularly smart. He feels more like a comic relief character than anything else. Not bad, per se but not in what I asked.

I think he's just dumb and the plot gives him super luck.

I don't really know about him. I think he is an autist but, at least for the plot, I didn't like Iron man.

For some major reason, All DC and Marvel worlds comics are not my thing.
For most of them I consider too boring or too much unjustified violence or too much evil... .. "because". Even if that's not true, that's how I perceived when I read them.

This Dexter?
TV genius. In this sense, boring.

This Monk?
Sounds like it's a police + mystery. Crime scenes and such? As long as it's not fantasy like CSI (and a-like) I could give a shot.
Is it fantasy?

Please re-read 1st post :).

Adrien Monk is a detective with severe ocd and alot of social issues. He's also one of the most adept detectives on tv. Its definitely not fantasy
Dexter is very violent dark and gruesome im not sure of your age so I wont recommend it.

Just an update.

I haven't given an update because I'm checking on them :).
I'll give a feedback after checking on them. It's also hard to find the DVD or BL for rent :S.

O, I got a doozy:

Patricia Tannis from Borderlands (game). (It mentions she has AS later on in #2.)

I think there's videos on YouTube containing all of her audio logs that you can collect.

Here's one:

Thanks.
I've seen some stuff about Borderlands... It does not feel like it is a good game for me...
