I'm not sure about that; I think the difference in wants is qualitative rather than quantitative. Since so many people with ASD say that they prefer substantial conversations in the context of stable relationships (platonic or otherwise) with one or a few others to ritualistic small talk in groups of mere acquaintances, one could actually make the argument that they desire more from social interaction than people who enjoy the latter because it takes more time and effort to have an actual conversation about a particular topic and to form and maintain a close relationship.

The question is: what do you mean by "more"?

Something quite different to what you have described.

The 'more' in this context refers to things like heavy emotional support, belonging to a group, dominance, manipulation, status-seeking, attention-seeking etc
