Yeah i do, They are a key part in a healthy diet where you dont have to go hungry.

The key to making them taste even better is using salsa or some other healthy pasta sauce without any sugar.

Salsa is basically vegetables mixed together in a sauce with spice, it makes it not only taste better but also able to eat vegatable faster. its very low calories.

The problem im guessing why many people have these ideas of throwing up, its because what tastes good is bad for you, and have ruined and i mean broken your taste buds, fastefood, soda, candy, it absolutely wrecks your taste buds totally.

The further you get away and the longer you go, the better healthy food like vegetables taste. Same why many people say tap water tastes of nothing or crap. when you ditch the soda and energy drinks after a few weeks or months suddenly water "icecold" tastes amazing, and its good for you and have ZERO calories or sugar.

The frozen vegetables i eat, have like 30 calories per 100g. so even if you eat 1 kilo thats only 300 calories. They are wonder foods, if you ever feel like you are going hungry while living healthy. Even the most fat person in the world. would never have to go hungry just eat 2 kilos of vegetables or 3kg still only 600 or 900 calories. and that will FILL you up for a long long time.

Salt while not good to get to much off, can help your vegetables taste better. I mean a little salt isnt bad, body needs it, and again unhealthy foods are loaded with salt, still dont understand why.

Best way imo to make vegetables is to put them in the microwave in a box that holds the vegatables with a box beneat for some water, they get warmed and steamed. if they are boiled they get all wet and mushy not like.

If Aspergers is possibly a throwback, could this be a related trait?

I love them and eat them all the time. It's probably because they're steamed. Steamed veggies are usually pretty bland and unappetizing. Try cooking them in a different way like sauteeing or roasting them.

I love vegetables! The phrase "kid in a candy store" describes me in a veggie store.:D I have loved them since I was a toddler. My mom used to watch me eating green leafy stuff mocked me as having cheap taste. I also love whole wheat bread (which at that time was cheaper than white bread).

I'm pretty good at cooking and serving vegetables. My family love my dinners. They would eat anything on the table, and usually do clear out everything. :)

I've gotten much better about eating them. Honestly, I think cold vegetables are the best. I really want to start eating more of a plant-based diet but cannot seem to get motivated to do so.

As a vegetarian I'd be pretty miserable if I didn't like them. But I'm not fond of them plain and boiled. If I do boil a vegetable, it's for inclusion in something else, e.g. I add chopped, microwaved spinach (among a few other things) to mashed taters, while a portion of spinach alone and cooked like that is something I wouldn't do. If I have boiled broccoli, cauliflower, or sweetcorn, I always add a bit of hummus to liven them up a bit. Boiled vegetables are just too bland and soggy for my taste.

Don't get me started on okra. I don't know how anybody can enjoy that stuff. Even when it's fried till it's crispy, it's still too slimy for me to even think of eating it. But I gather it's not an unusual criticism of okra, that it's slimy and horrible. I think quite a lot of people hate it. I only had it once and I threw up.

I love vegetables.

This is just a theory of mine, but I think the reason why you'll often see people (both autistic and non-autistic) disliking vegetables (either overall or just certain ones) is because they've only ever eaten ones that were poorly cooked, unseasoned, etc.

Like my grandfather (RIP) was not a fan of Brussels sprouts and then one day I bought some frozen steam in bag Brussels sprouts in a light butter sauce and he wanted to try some because he thought they smelled good after I microwaved them and he thought they were delicious. And then I learned that, in his over 90 years of life, he had never had Brussels sprouts with any type of seasoning or sauce added to them. He would always just boil them and that was it. Not even something as basic as salt and pepper.

Yes traditional British food used to be a bit like that, boiled cabbage, boiled sprouts, boiled turnip, boiled taters, etc. Maybe something like the "drinking plain water is good for you" theory was behind it. Or the "if it's nice, it's harmful" theory.

But salads are made of vegetables, except for tomatoes which technically are a fruit, but I still feel that for practical purposes they're a vegetable. In a way everything is a vegetable if it isn't animal or mineral.

Just couliflower and broccoli! twins
However not others, aside from my favorite
that is actually a fruit  (tomato)

What I dislike very much is cooked ones, like dry cherry tomatos
It's like you remove the food, wasn't what I was going to eat

I like most vegetables except for turnips, cabbage, parsnips, and tomatoes except for those little ones that are really sweet tasting and are good in salads.

Like? No. Eat? Yes. I've always had trouble with crunchy food due to sensory issues, so as a child I ate very little vegetables, and their bad tastes didn't help either. Now I can tolerate the crunchiness a little better, plus I don't usually eat vegetables without cooking them somehow, so I eat much more of them than I used to. Also knowing what vegetable goes well with what other food, both texture and taste wise, helps. Tomatoes have no place on my plate though unless they're ketchup; fresh tomatoes are just so slimy and yucky. I can get them down, but unless someone's paying or I'm in a place where I really don't want to come across as rude by leaving something on my plate (something I didn't place there myself 'cause if I did there'd be no tomatoes, but sometimes they're part of the meal), I won't bother to eat them. Too gross.
