residential home and high functioning

because in other areas of the world they dont have that many residential places for the high functioning you are lucky in the uk

Likely the UK isn't the luckiest, countries like Scandinavian countries have better healthcare so maybe better residential care.

I live in the States and when I was in my 20's I lived in residential care. They helped me learn how to cook even though one day I started a fire in the kitchen when deep frying donuts. I also almost caught the house on fire when I placed a curtain in a lamp shade. Not a good idea. They had the fire department come and give me a fire safety class on how to prevent a fire and put one out. I spent 2 years there but learned enough to live in a home with a roommate. I started another fire there while cooking and my roommate knew how to put it out quickly. I now avoid cooking anything on the stove. I live alone and I also learned to manage money and get a job. I found living in a residential home very helpful.

And in the USA they are called group homes in case anyone is confused.

I don't understand what you are asking. I put residential home so anyone outside the States would know what I was talking about. And yes, they are called group homes here.

Cooking for myself
Laundry
Personal care
Working
Cleaning
Ways to deal with anxiety and depression
