Due to my inability to express myself and my because of my physical strength and determination, I was completely taken advantage of when I was younger and have been worked like a f*****g carthorse.

However, to the other extreme I have also been treated like a complete helpless child, who doesn't know their own mind.

I find this dichotomy extremely confusing and has not (in any way, shape or form) helped my plight.

A bit of consideration wouldn't go a miss and if that means treating me like I'm fragile for a while, then I'd be quite happy with that.

I guess a better way to get this across was "I hate being patronized".

Me too. I am much more fragile than people possibly guess or realize and it can be very difficult when people think you are tougher of more capable than you are. And I hate it when one particular person I know says, "If Max on Parenthood can overcome some of his issues why can't you?" Sometimes I wish people would understand that I actually am disabled in ways and stop treating me like I can understand or do everything they can.
