are you tapered and squared [neckline in back] or do you taper to a fade out?

A bit like Mike Avery  No, well, about the same length as his. My hair is very soft and in need of support. It is twirled and sliced all over, so I look quite frizzy, when I leave the salon. Otherwise it will sit like a helmet in a matter of days.

I like my hair pixie cut short. I don't usually like it long.

I would like my hair to hurry up and make it down to my hips so I can be "done."

A number seven clipper on top. A number five clipper on the sides and back. Done on the first weekend of the month.

Fade out. I'm not too fussy about it but that's how it has been for years.

Usually clippered pretty short on the back and sides, cut with scissors on top

it reaches to my 4th or 5th thoracic vertebrae, near the bottom of my shoulder blades. quite a ways to go. if it keeps growing. the last time I gave it 3 years to grow and it stopped at that point.

Do you have split ends? You could be getting breakage that's counteracting your growth. If that's the case, you might benefit from a microtrim. Or you could have a very short terminal length.

I suspect I have short terminal length. I lose a lot in the shower. but I am still trying to get them all at least the same length.

Not. I haven't cut it for 6 months and I don't plan on cutting it any time soon. I personally think it looks better, plus I like being able to play with my hair. I can't do that if it's 2 inches long.

It's pretty wavy and unmanageable at this length. Even if I brush it I play with it so much that it's messed up in 10 minutes  I'm not trying to impress anyone anyway.

I have found that the only way to keep long hair manageable is to put it in a ponytail. and why not impress yourself? might as well. :bounce:

I use to keep my hair long and put it in a pony tail. It kept getting caught in things so I had it cut short. The short hair style is better but requires frequent visits to the hair salon which I dislike. If I could wear a hat all the time I would. Hair is just a waste of time and money.
