Facebook has been a nightmare! Anyone else have this issue?

I only have about 66 friends on facebook. I don't have tons of people i don't know in real life just for the sake of having a few hundred to look popular. I have some relatives, a few nice people from work, some people who I met at places like volunteer jobs, and just 2 or 3 people I don't know in real life but have the same interests as me. That's all really.
