There are lots of people I admire, and they fall into 5 different categories: musicians; people who have overcome enormous disabilities (like Helen Keller); geniuses (like NikolaTesla); courageous visionary people (both historical and current) like Sir Nicholas Winton, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther, Alexander the Great; and humanitarians.

The current cult of celebrity leaves me completely cold though.
