Just because there are no identifying physical markers, there still will be cultural reflections. Especially in a group of generally "proud" Aspies.

Well, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. PERSONALLY, I think several ARE cute or pretty. If they were in my age group, area, and interested, I would probably have already tried to contact them in that way.

Apparantly that is asking a lot though. If I was 15-37, I think I would be happy. Again though, most of them seem content as they are, or they ALREADY have boyfriends. That is one of the hardest things. In most cases, most human cultures included, the MALE is the one that has to initiate things, etc... A woman like I would really like probably wouldn't have a hard time getting anyone she wants, so they usually already have someone. C'est la vie.

And it was hard enough to find someone I would like. After hearing about AS, I would LOVE it if she was mild AS also. If we did have kids(although I don't know if I would want any this late in the game), it would be nice if THEY had AS also! I could start them off RIGHT so they would be smarter than I am, know their limitations, work on getting strong "splinter" skills, and start with social goals earlier and hopefully beat the NTs to the punch!

If this accurately describes you, I am interested, being a mass of C'thentacles myself. Are you free?

Ew.

GRANTED AS tweaks things, but we ARE still human! HEY, I was curious what everyone looked like ALSO, ESPECIALLY since people made it sound like aspies looked different. Frankly, I don't think I look unusual, but who knows?

Anyway, if I am any indication of the normal AS male, we have normal drives, but can control them well, but we are still curious. There's no reason to say "ew". It isn't like we are asking for anything special or wierd.

BTW I would have posted my pics, and I HAVE sent them privately, but I have a job where they might check, and I am just not too crazy with the idea of some prospective employer/client looking at me and thinking autism and seeing bad things. No offense to anyone.

Autism/AS is neuro/psych so therefore those afflicted probably do not look differrently, but their mannerisms may be, certainly. Just being objective (I am not making value judgments): I am considered very pretty. Sometimes in public I am uncertain when this is commented upon....what do I say? I am polite, so I say "Thank you." But some expressed opinions seem contrived. I am sickly pale and have no color in my cheeks. I do wear make up though and I am very feminine. I have dark blondish hair (dishwater blonde?) and big dark green eyes with thick dark eyebrows and lashes. I have a scar on my collarbone from when I was a child. I get the joke about it looking like a vampire bite...hah hah.

I'll scan a photo and submit, I think. I like my lab coat - it's sexy!

There are two ways to read that, but I DID say:

if I am any indication of the normal AS male

UH... NORMAL PEOPLE MAYBE?

You may or may not have noticed that this is NOT a dating site.

i explained that in a post like right underneath it. i did not mean it the way it sounds. it was intended to be a compliment saying all girls are pretty.
